Drôme's castles
It is the most beautiful example of 16th and 17th century buildings in south east France. Nothing remains of the original castle mentioned in the 11th century, or the powerful fortress built by the Adhémar family in the 13th century.
Transformed many times between the end of the 15th century and the middle of the 16th century, then again in the 17th century, the feudal castle gave up its military function to become a pleasant and attractive residential dwelling.
