The château in the village of Poët Celard figures among the places captured by the Huguenot captain Montbrun in 1574 and Lesdiguières established a garrison manned by thirty soldiers in 1626.

Les Blaïn, lui préféraient le château Saint-André, mieux placé et plus confortable, l'abandonnèrent purement et simplement au 18ème siècle. Entièrement restauré, il abrite aujourd'hui un hébergement d'étape, une salle de réception et sa chapelle est maintenant un lieu d'exposition.
