Once upon a time in ancient times, Gargantua the Giant sat down on Mont Ventoux for a moment to remove a nasty stone stuck inside his boot and causing him terrible pain. Here precisely, Pierrelatte was born. A rock in the middle of a vast plain, a small stone fallen out of the Giant’s boot. Selon la légende, Gargantua se serait assis sur le Mont Ventoux ou selon certains, sur la Dent de Rez pour ôter de sa botte un caillou qui serait devenu le célèbre rocher de Pierrelatte, longtemps exploité comme carrière et maintenant lieu d'animations.
