Contemporary art gallery in the heart of Valence, La Villa Balthazar presents in its 500 m2 exhibition space the work of visual artists, recognized or emerging, from the contemporary scene.
Opened in December 2016 in Valence in the Drôme, Villa Balthazar was born from a desire to promote contemporary art and support artists on the contemporary scene.
It pursues a bold objective: to embody the reflection of the growing diversity of contemporary creations, to defend the work of the artists it exhibits and to bring it to the public eye.
The different spaces of the gallery make it possible to offer a sustained rhythm of exhibitions with a demanding program aimed at as many people as possible.
La Villa Balthazar's mission is to move and surprise.
Located in downtown Valence, near La Comédie and opposite the Prefecture. The gallery, a friendly 500m2 space open to the city, has been laid out on 3 levels. Formerly a chamber of agriculture, it now exclusively serves contemporary art.
Villa Balthazar takes particular care to defend the work of its artists to all stakeholders in Valence's economic life, cultural institutions and the press. The team maintains special links with the artists it exhibits, based on trust, advice and support.

Située au centre-ville de Valence ,dans la Drôme, la galerie la Villa Balthazar est née d’une volonté de promouvoir l’art contemporain dans la région et de soutenir les artistes de la scène contemporaine. Son espace de 500m2 sur 3 niveaux, convivial et ouvert sur la ville, permet la réception d'événements dans un contexte artistique et contemporain.
