Portes-en-Valdaine plains

Enjoy a wide view over Portes-en-Valdaine: its typical bell tower, its old village and Serre de Mirabel in the background.

Start at the "Salle des Fêtes" located at the entrance of the village.

Head towards the town centre, walking in front of the church and town hall. Turn left at the junction with the Departmental road 127A and stay on the side of this road during 400 metres.

Turn right and take Chemin des Favier alongside a field. Turn left at the junction in the hamlet. Keep that small road until the junction with the bigger road.

Turn right at the bus stop and turn left straight after. Walk on Chemin de la Tour and cross the bridge before turning right. Take the path on the right a few metres after, heading towards the forest.

Keep that path and walk along the field until the Peyrouses hamlet. When leaving the forest, walk alongside the lavender field then turn right to cross a tiny forest area. Join Chemin de Darenne.

At the road junction, continue straight. Turn left 200 metres away, then cross the bigger road. Join the Chemin du Cimetière then turn left. Go back to the starting point.
