Association program manager reintroduction of vultures in the baronnies.

The vultures of Baronnies evolve on more than 15 000 km² but the heart of the colony is located in the gorges of the Eygues near St May and Rémuzat. From the village, several hiking trails will allow you to discover the vultures (Griffon Vulture, Vulture monk, Egyptian Vulture and Bearded Vulture). For non-walkers, their observation is possible from the café terrace on the village square! To learn more about the vultures, we invite you to visit "The House of Vultures" (free entrance) where a exhibition and a film will allow you to get into the intimacy of the life of these birds.

You can also participate in field trips organized by "ornithologists" of the association "Vautours en Baronnies" (discovery of the biology of vultures, reintroduction techniques and monitoring, news of the colony, other species ...). The employees of the association will guide you to the most interesting sites to make good observations (binoculars and telescope provided). Vulture discovery trips are preferably held in the morning and take place in three hours (9am - 12pm)
Rates of vulture discovery outings: 130 € / group (max 20 people).

For all information and / or reservations, we invite you to contact the tourist office of Baronnies, Rémuzat office tel: 04 75 27 85 71 or the association "Vautours en Baronnies" - Tel: 04 75 27 81 91 / e-mail vautourbaronnies26@gmail.com
