Living room with kitchenette, dining area and lounge (sofa bed, 1x140), bedroom with double bed or two single beds (1x180 or 2x90) and small desk, separate toilet, shower room (shower cubicle, washbasin). Reversible air-conditioning in living room and bedroom. Communicating door to guest house. Garden level: private garden furniture available. The building also houses 5 guest rooms and a reception room for groups or seminars (hire at extra cost). Shared with the guest house: TV lounge and library. A chapel is open from 8am to 10pm. Wooded park with sun loungers. Parking on the property. Located 2.5kms from Grignan, Le Prieuré is set in 22 hectares of parkland bordered by lavender, almond and truffle oaks. Originally a barn, the house was first transformed into a priory for a community of nuns before welcoming vacationers. The place is ideal for relaxation, calm and rejuvenation. The property, which is open to all, belongs to the Diocese of Valence. It offers bed & breakfast, gîtes and a parish house. Claire and Augustin, the managing couple, provide a warm welcome. Grignan is a lively town steeped in history. Situated on a rocky outcrop, its magnificent Renaissance château dominates the surrounding area. Don't forget to visit the typical villages of the Drôme Provençale: La Garde Adhémar (not to be missed), Chamaret, Chantemerle Lès Grignan and many others! Suze la Rousse, famous for its castle and the Université du Vin, is 20 minutes away, Nyons is 30 minutes and Montélimar, the land of nougat, is just around the corner.
