Two words sum up this circuit : quiet and wonder. Discover the valleys nestling between the Drôme valley and the Vercors cliffs : take a deep breath and appreciate. (140 km)

Unmissable : the resorts : Col de Rousset, Font d’Urle-Chaud-Clapier and Grand Echaillon. Vassieux-en-Vercors (‘Musée de la Résistance’, ‘Petit Monde des santons’ and ‘Musée de la Préhistoire’ with its flint knapping workshop, the necropolis, followed by the ‘Mémorial’ at the Col de la Chau), the ‘forêt domaniale de Lente’, the remarkable road to the Col de la Bataille. The Omblèze gorges and the ‘Pissoire’ and ‘Druise’ waterfalls (72 m). Die (St Marcel gateway, cathedral, ramparts, archaeological museum, Purgnon tower, former bishop’s palace, the 12th century ‘Mosaic of the four rivers’, the protestant church, Valcroissant abbey).

The + of the circuit : Rochers de Chironne (‘via ferrata’- climbing), Plateau d’Ambel (walking). Aromatic plant distillery at Chamaloc (in season), the Brudour cave, Léoncel (Cistercian abbey), the belvedere of the ‘Rocher du Vellan’ (walk), Beaufort-sur-Gervanne (old village with ramparts), the Quint valley.
