La Rue des Trois-Carreaux

La Rue des Trois-Carreaux
Rue des Trois-Carreaux26100 Romans-sur-Isère

Medieval street with cat's head cobblestones. On the walls to the left, coming from Place aux Herbes, you can see the marks left by the hubs of cartwheels that dug into the mollasse.

At n°2 rue des Trois Carreaux stands the Poitiers tower, built in the 10th
and 11th centuries.
At the top, ancient battlements have been transformed into windows.
This medieval street leads to other medieval streets, rue Merlin and rue des Clercs.
Corner of rue Merlin and rue des Clercs: Maison à Échauguette.
