Built in 1830 by Claude Pierre Louis Antelme (1791 - 1858), Mayor of Bourg de Péage, nephew and heir to Comte Dedelay d'Agier.

The name Favor comes from a distortion of the word Faveur, in memory of the favor Dedelay d'Agier did Antelme when he made him his favorite nephew and sole legatee.
When Antelme died in 1858, the château passed to his son Thédore Antelme (1831 - 1872). Saint Cyrien, Bourg-de-Péage town council. This union produced a daughter, Eugénie Cullet (1876 - 1945), who married Adolphe Sénéquier Crozet (1863 - 1943), grandfather of the current owner.
