Studio Charlotte is atypical, and that's almost an understatement! The living room [KITCHEN-LIVING ROOM-DINING AREA] is home to the hundred-year-old vine that covered the entire front of the Bastide, long before we arrived. We literally built a glass roof around it (like in our grandmothers' conservatories) so as not to disturb it, taking great care to leave it enough light, air and space to be happy (and to continue to decorate the frontage, needless to say). For the record, Madame la Vigne never developed a single leaf outside the veranda. So much for that! Luckily, she makes up for it formidably inside, driving anyone who wants to master her mad... (When the Studio is rented for more than a week, it's practically a jungle that has invaded the walls). The problem is that the glass roof is not climatic. There is reversible air-conditioning in the space, but it can't work wonders in winter. As a result, the Charlotte studio is only accessible during the summer months.
