Le Prieuré de Grignan

Guest house with 5 rooms on the second floor. First floor: shared living room with small kitchen (herbal tea corner, fridge, microwave, sink, electric hob), toilet. The chapel is open from 8am to 10pm. Upstairs: the 5 bedrooms all have adjustable beds: one double or two single beds (1x180 or 2x90). One room has 3 beds (1x180 or 2x90 + 1x90). All rooms are equipped with reversible air-conditioning, mosquito nets on the windows, a desk and storage space. Each room has its own private bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. Buffet breakfast served in the courtyard or dining room. The building also houses two gîtes for 2 to 4 people, as well as a reception room for groups or seminars (rental at extra charge). Courtyard with garden furniture, wooded park with sun loungers, parking on the property. Located 2.5kms from Grignan, Le Prieuré is set in 22 hectares of parkland bordered by lavender, almond and truffle oaks. Originally a barn, the house was first transformed into a priory for a community of nuns before becoming a guest house. The setting is ideal for relaxation, calm and rejuvenation. The property, which is open to all, belongs to the Diocese of Valence. It offers bed & breakfast, gîtes and a parish house. Claire and Augustin, the managing couple, provide a warm welcome. Grignan is a lively town steeped in history. Situated on a rocky outcrop, its magnificent Renaissance château dominates the surrounding area. Don't forget to visit the typical villages of the Drôme Provençale: La Garde Adhémar (not to be missed), Chamaret, Chantemerle Lès Grignan and many others! Suze la Rousse, famous for its castle and the Université du Vin, is 20 minutes away, Nyons is 30 minutes and Montélimar, the land of nougat, is just around the corner.
