Morlanche is a small, traditional winery located in Arlebosc, in the Doux Valley in the north of the Ardèche. We use organic farming methods, making our wine in the old cellars of the family home, and all the grapes come from our own vines.

In 2015, we decided to build our life project at the heart of the family home in Morlanche : growing vines and making wine in the house and on the land of Brice's grandparents, where they themselves ( and their forbears before them) used to make wine a few decades ago. This Project was born of a shared desire to preserve and bring to life this local and family heritage.

It all began with the small percel of olld Famay vins above the house, which we have always tended and harvestes as a family. In 2016, the adventure began for us when, for the first time in 40 years, the grapes from this parcel were not sold and stayed at the house: this would be our very first cuvee ( 300 bottles), vinified in the house's old vaulted cellars, which are now back in use!

Moranche is now a small estate that is gradually being built up, one foot at a time: from 2,000 m2 in 2016 to almost 3 hectares today.

We cultivate the old Gamay vines, the Doux Valley's historic vineyard. And we have replanted young vines, in part on old plots of vines, with Viognier, Marsanne, Roussane, Syrah and Pinot Noir, the fruit of which began to be harvested in 2020.

As the old vines cannot be mechanised, we tend them by hand, and it has always seemed obvious to us to do this without weedkillers or chemicals and in a way that respects the soil, biodiversity and the cycles of the vine.
Yields are limited and the grapes are harvested by hand. The wines are produced as naturally as possible, without yeasting, fining or filtering.
